In case of death

For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. (Romans 6:5)

Someday you will read or hear that Billy Graham is dead. Don’t you believe a word of it. I shall be more alive than I am now. I will just have changed my address. I will have gone into the presence of God.–Billy Graham
–D. L. Moody

Someday, the same wonderful thing will happen to me. For a Christian, death is not something to be feared but something to be anticipated. I will be carried by angels into the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ (Psalm 34:7; Psalm 91:11-12; Luke 16:22; Hebrews 1:14). This was demonstrated before (Genesis 23:1; 1 Kings 8:6; 2 Chronicles 5:7; 2 Kings 2:11; 2 Kings 6:17; Daniel 6:22; Isaiah 6:1-4; Zechariah 6:1). When that happens, don’t mourn for me, because I will be more alive and more blessed than I have ever been. Rejoice! Live your lives worthy of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I will not be able to return to you, but someday you can join me (2 Samuel 12:23).
