“Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
What is the gospel?
The gospel was proclaimed by the prophets, lived by Jesus Christ, preached by the apostles, and spread through all the world. But, what is it?
What should I do to inherit eternal life?
This is the most important question of the age. For an answer, we turn to the words of the Lord Jesus Christ who answered this exact question over 2000 years ago. And, from his answer, we learn more about him and who he is.
Do You Believe in the Total Depravity of Man?
Yes, man in his unregenerate natural sinful nature is totally depraved and cannot do anything good. But, salvation is not a good work, I was not saved until I gave up my good works and died with Christ. Even a totally depraved man can admit when he is defeated and give up his own works and die with Jesus Christ.
7 Evidences of Salvation
When a baby is born into this world there is positive proof they are alive. They breathe, cry, wriggle, eat and all the things associated with human physical life. As time passes they grow and perceive more and more of their being and respond accordingly. Even so, when a person becomes a child of God, their new spiritual life is manifest in ways that may be identified as unique to a child of God. Following is a list of such evidence.
7 Proofs of God
What would a logical person accept as proof of God? Would he require God Almighty to appear before him in order to acknowledge His existence? Would he apply this same criterion to everything else in life?
Bible Study Lesson 1: the Good News of the Gospel
There are fundamentally only two religions in the world: the religion of self-effort and Biblical Christianity. One is way more popular because it is based on what you can do, but the other one is true because it is based on what Jesus Christ already did for you.
Isn’t it Strange?
Isn’t it strange that Jesus Christ, who claimed to be God, made this offer, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matt. 11:28) — but most have refused to go to Him for the solution to their problems. Notice, He said, “Come to ME,” not to religion.
You Can Know You Are Saved
This is the gospel truth on salvation—not just someone’s opinion—but the truth directly from God”s word. As the Apostle John wrote, “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.”
Safe in Christ
How can one who is saved from hell and the lake of fire ever be lost? If one goes to hell and the lake of fire, he was never saved from them. How can one with the unending life of Christ ever be lost? How can one who is born of incorruptible seed which remains in him ever be lost? How can one who has already suffered the penalty for sin be put to death again? How can one who is sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption ever break that seal? How can God’s guarantee of our eternal inheritance ever be nullified? These are questions which must be answered for me ere I could believe that other Bible verses teach that I can lose my salvation in Christ.
