Grace and peace are the results of Christian growth

This letter is from Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ. I am writing to you who share the same precious faith we have. This faith was given to you because of the justice and fairness of Jesus Christ, our God and Savior. May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. (2 Peter 1:1-3)

I am warning you ahead of time, dear friends. Be on guard so that you will not be carried away by the errors of these wicked people and lose your own secure footing. Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen. (2 Peter 3:17-18)

If you aren’t growing in grace and peace, maybe it’s because you aren’t growing in the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.

If your life isn’t characterized by more and more grace and peace, then maybe you’re not really growing in the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. If this is where you are and you do want to grow, please consider Paul’s last words to the Ephesians…

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. (Acts 20:32 KJV)

“And now I entrust you to God and the message of his grace that is able to build you up and give you an inheritance with all those he has set apart for himself. (Acts 20:32 NLT)
