I just received an email from New Scientist proudly proclaiming their latest cover feature, “Our true dawn: Pinning down human origins” with the following sentence.
Our understanding of human evolution is being rewritten as we discover the common ancestor we share with chimps in this week’s cover feature.
Looking into the article, I find it is not based on the scientific method at all, here is the second paragraph…
This is one of the biggest and hardest questions in human evolution. We know that at some point we shared a common ancestor with chimps, but exactly when—and what that ancestor was like—have been maddeningly hard to pin down. Palaeontol-ogists have searched for fossil remains, and geneticists have rummaged through the historical documents that are human and chimp DNA. Both made discoveries, but they did not see eye to eye.
In the second sentence, they say they know and then they admit they have been searching for the facts to fill in their knowledge. This is completely backward from the scientific method. If you don’t believe me, look it up for yourself.
Suffice it to say that everything you were told was truth about evolution before and everything that was used to ridicule Biblical creation has been rewritten … again … because it was wrong. With any normal subject, if someone told you something was true one day and then that same thing was false the next day, time after time, eventually you would stop believing them. But, with evolution, the alternative is considered to be so horrible that people seem to be willing to suspend their normal thought process.
In reality, the Biblical truth is exciting and simple. Please read Isn’t It Strange and The Truth Shall Make You Free. And, the Biblical account hasn’t ever changed. If you are considering trusting something with your eternal life, choose the eternal message.
