No exceptions (only man-made rules have exceptions)

God’s rules don’t have exceptions…

OBEY GRAVITY IT’S THE LAW

God is perfect; therefore His laws, His rules, and His regulations are perfect — no exceptions. This is one of the most important concepts in real Bible-believing Christianity. If you can accept this concept, if you can understand this concept, and if you can apply this concept, you will save yourself from a lot of man-made religious grief. Consider these rules…

  • All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
  • The wages of sin is death
  • There is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity–the man Christ Jesus
  • For God so loved the world
    • that he gave his only begotten Son
    • that whosoever believes in him
    • should not perish
    • but have everlasting life
  • Whoever believes in him is not condemned
    • but whoever does not believe stands condemned already
  • Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life
    • but whoever rejects the Son will not see life
    • for God’s wrath remains on them
  • Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me
  • Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved
  • And he said, “Truly I say to you, unless you will be converted and become like children, you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven.”
  • I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it
  • We receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ
  • Through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life
    has set you free from the law of sin and death

(Matthew 16; Matthew 18;
Romans 3; Romans 6;
John 3; John 10; John 14;
Galatians 3; 1 Timothy 2)

Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.” (Galatians 2:16) ← no exceptions

Man-made religious rules have exceptions…

  • You must be water baptized. Except the thief on the cross. Except where there is no priest. Except when the baptismal is frozen. Except!!!!
  • Men must wear long pants. Men must have short hair. Men cannot wear jewelry. Women must not wear pants. Women must have long hair. Women cannot wear piercings. You cannot have tattoos. Married women cannot work outside the home. Except when it’s cold. Except during sickness. Except for old age. Except!!!!
  • You must [fill-in-the-blanks]. Except when [fill-in-the-blanks]. Except where [fill-in-the-blanks]. Except why [fill-in-the-blanks]. Except!!!!

If you are compelled to obey rules that have exceptions, maybe they aren’t God’s rules, but just man-made religious rules. These kinds of rules lead to bondage. If you are struggling with this concept or if you are rejoicing in this concept, please join the conversation below or write to us.

One Reply to “No exceptions (only man-made rules have exceptions)”

  1. You forgot the most important law that has no exceptions…

    Exodus 20:1 And God spoke all these words:
    2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
    3 “You shall have no other gods before me.
    4 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.
    7 “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.
    8 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
    12 “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
    13 “You shall not murder.
    14 “You shall not commit adultery.
    15 “You shall not steal.
    16 “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
    17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”
