The same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead

The message of the cross is that we were lost and dead in our sins when Jesus Christ died for us, he paid the penalty so now we can be free. If we accept his free gift of salvation, we can be born again as a new creation with power from high.

I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him.  This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead  and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 1:19-20 NLT)

  • For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18)
  • so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power. (1 Corinthians 2:5)
  • God’s power is working in us (2 Corinthians 6:7)
  • by God’s power we will live with Him to serve you. (2 Corinthians 13:4)
  • Protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time (1 Peter 1:5)
  • take your part in suffering for the Good News, as God gives you the strength for it (2 Timothy 1:8)

He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. To this end I strenuously contend  with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.  (Colossians 1:28-29 NIV)

God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. Do you have the gift of speaking?  Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you.  Do you have the gift of helping others?  Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies.  Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen. (1 Peter 4:10-11 NLT)

 By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life.  We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. (2 Peter 1:3-4)
