The title of this post is an oxymoron (a figure of speech in which apparently contradictory terms appear in conjunction) on purpose. All of the following impossible things would have to happen for you to lose your salvation. None of these things can happen. There is no unsecurity of the believer. Therefore, you can be confident your salvation is secure. Saved never becomes unsaved There is no recorded account in the Bible of anyone who is positively declared to have Continue reading 12 impossible ways to lose your salvation
Stop doing these things, they will destroy the joy of your salvation. You may think grace gives you liberty to do these things, but they will not help you grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. If you keep doing these things long enough, you won’t grow in your faith, then you will become stagnant, and then stale, and eventually, you will stink. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (2 Cor 3:17) But Continue reading Stop doing these things (they will destroy the joy of your salvation)
I was sitting out on the porch with my wife not long ago watching the rain and enjoying the natural beauty of nature, much of which she had added by her gardening knowledge and special touch. Many times, we’ve enjoyed our mornings together this way, drinking coffee and sharing thoughts. Twelve years ago hundreds of our trees were majorly damaged by a downdraft tornado, completely destroying the beauty that God and my wife had given to our little backyard getaway. But over time, with Continue reading Imagine a place where fellowship grows
Legacy of the Apostle John The Apostle John was touched by the love of God and his ministry was consistent in sharing that love. Please read the Gospel according to John and the books of 1 John, 2 John, and 3 John to get a picture of John’s understanding of love. Many authors refer to themselves in the third person as “the writer” or “this reporter” but the Apostle John referred to himself as “the disciple whom Jesus loved.” We Continue reading The legacy of the Apostle John is “love one another.” What is your legacy?
The Bible teaches there are only 2 religions, which are grace and debt (Romans 4). Grace is the undeserved goodness of God offered to everyone who believes, it cannot be of works. Debt is owed by God because of good works, it cannot be of faith. These 2 religions are in stark contrast to each other. Grace teaches there is nothing you can do to earn salvation. Debt teaches you have to do everything to earn salvation. They cannot be Continue reading The 2 religions of the world as illustrated by Invictus versus My Captain

Rather, it is first seeing ourselves as sinners who deserve what Christ bore for us, and then, in humble and grateful acceptance of what He has done for us, coming to the end of Continue reading The Security of the Believer (Safe in Christ)

Here is how… Continue reading 7 reasons for hope instead of suicide
What is the sin of blaspheme against the Holy Spirit? Can you accidentally blaspheme against the Holy Spirit? Will everyone who blasphemes the Holy Spirit go to hell? “I tell you the truth, all sin and blasphemy can be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. This is a sin with eternal consequences.” He told them this because they were saying, “He’s possessed by an evil spirit.” (Mark 3:28-30 NLT) “I can guarantee this truth: People Continue reading What is the unforgivable sin of blaspheme against the Holy Spirit?
These things have been on my heart for a long time, but the events of the last few weeks have prompted me to write. Please forgive me if I accidentally misspeak and needlessly offend anyone. Every life is precious to God. No matter who you are, or what you have been labeled, or what you have experienced, or how you have been treated, your life matters to God. He loves you. He is concerned about you. He wants to bless you. Continue reading Your Life Matters To God
