Weeping may come at night, but joy comes in the morning

Remember the Lord when you are weeping at night

There is something special about going to the Lord in prayer and supplication during the nighttime. All our problems seem worse in the cold, lonely, darkness. Instead of just weeping, we need to run to the rock of our salvation and find refuge in his strong tower where his arms can protect us.

For his anger is but for a moment.
His favor is for a lifetime.
Weeping may stay for the night,
but joy comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:5 WEB)

Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime,
and in the night his song shall be with me,
and my prayer unto the God of my life. (Psalm 42:8 KJV)

Be my rock of refuge, where I can always go. Give the command to save me, for You are my rock and my fortress. (Psalm 71:3)

I will bless the LORD who counsels me; even at night my conscience instructs me. (Psalm 16:7)

When I remember You on my bed, I think of You through the watches of the night. (Psalm 63:6)

God has promised to turn our weeping into dancing

God is not an angry God determined to kill us. God is love. He gave his life to save us. He wants us to have an abundant life full of blessings. Let your weeping cause you to yield your life to the Lord so he can work out his plans for your life.

Praise be to Yahweh God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds. (Psalm 72 WEB)

You are the God who does wonders. You have made your strength known among the peoples. (Psalm 77 WEB)

For our light and momentary affliction is producing for us an eternal glory that is far beyond comparison. (2 Corinthians 4:17)

Even death will be swallowed up in victory

O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built. Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee. For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall. Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low. (Isaiah 25:1-5 KJV)

And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined. And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.  He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces;  and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it. (Isaiah 25:6-8 KJV)

And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation. For in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill. And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands. And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust. (Isaiah 25:9-12 KJV)
